Pachyderme - How to operate your brain EP

    Press Info

A pitch-black room is my only sight…What happened, where am I?
    Finally, I managed to find a light-switch.
Flash – Weird! This definitely is not my home or at least I can’t remember it looked like this…. Hovering on sideways through the remains of my mind I end up with some clues:

The weird dude at Hardwax…yeah, right… He gave me this BlueCode Promo CD when I was digging records yesterday. This interesting title… ‘How to operate your brain’. Is this the only thing I can memorise? I remember that I played that EP at home later on. Those sounds by this Argentinean guy called Pachyderme somehow took control off me and it blurred my vision. When I listened to the second track, ‘Stay Puft’, my mind went even further…self-propelling into a trippy shudder…

Later that night I aimed for Suicide Circus – love that slightly fucked up place! But, somehow this creepy journey into sound started all over again. Did this sound fill up my head?…Bouncing up and down my cranium?…Refusing to leave for some different beat? No! This promo was actually fired down at the crowd by DJ’s demand.
‘Stay Puft (Ehn remix)’ billowed across the masses and once again it crept deep into my mind. As the first sounds of ‘How to operate your brain (Egho remix)’ unfolded their deep and groovy web, the crowd just seemed like being wired and moved by the bass. Improbability drive to the land of confusion, anyone? Towels up!

It must have been shortly after that, when this girl popped up out of nowhere – grinning. Right now I remember her promising she’d take care of me. Bottom line.
    Now guess what:
I’ll dress up and try to find my way back home. I’m greedy like a junkie to replay this CD. If this dark journey causes side effects like that, I’ll wave any towel anywhere if it gets me there!
You should do so as well!

    But remember:
Make sure you know how to operate your brain!

Comments: very interesting stuff but a bit too dark for my sets

Sometimes I try to chill, mellow down, blow a smoke -
Smile on my face - but its really no joke.

People should realize that minimal is a strategy, not a tag; a way of linking all those micro-events and incidental sounds into something coherent and moving and yeah, still quite surprising!
