The continued rise of Alan Fitzpatrick is the biggest story in UK techno right now. Tirelessly championed by Dubfire, Len Faki and John Digweed over the last three years it has been Alan’s partnership with Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label that has produced his most significant work; releasing two chart-topping EP’s on the label in the last half of 2009 and ending a monumental year as one of a select handful of producers invited to remix Beyer’s classic Remainings III. Danke, lieber Florian, für die Aufklärung! Allerdings muss ich dir auch schreiben, dass für mich Cari Lekebusch der heimliche, ungekrönte König von Drumcode bzw. Schweden Techno ist, nachdem man von Thomas Krome leider nichts mehr hört.
Nichts gegen Herrn Fitzpatrick, der bedient halt eher die neuere Generation, Drumcode muss natürlich auch was tun, wenn sie weiterhin am Markt mitmischen wollen, sind sie doch gleich nach Cocoon an 2. Stelle der Marktführer.
Ich würde aber, um Cari Lekebusch mal wieder so richtig Gas geben zu hören, wenns sein muss bis nach Schweden ins Kroniskt oder noch weiter fahren. Den Alan werde ich mir natürlich auch bei euch im Gotec anhören, sein Sound ist auch besser, als der ganze restliche Kram, der momentan so released wird.
Allerdings würde ich mich auch sehr über ein Booking von Cari Lekebusch, Joel Mull, Henrik B. oder Thomas Krome (eher unwarscheinlich) in naher Zukunft freuen...
