Why is Plastikman in 2010 relevant?
I guess there’s a number of levels. I’m having really good success as a DJ and with Minus, and—it’s not at its highest, but it’s at a really high point. There are so many new fans that really like what I do or what I do with Minus, that just don’t know where we came from or the history of all of the electronic music that’s developed to get us to the point of the music that they like. I just thought it was important to show them what I was doing before some of them were even born. There are some fans now that were born after I started my recording career. It can only deepen the appreciation of what we’re doing now, to get that perspective or knowledge.
